Alexandra of Denmark was the Queen Consort of King Edward VII of the United Kingdom. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 1 December 1844. Her parents were King Christian IX of Denmark and Louise of Hesse-Kassel. Alexandra was the eldest of six children, and she had three brothers and two sisters.

Alexandra was a beautiful and intelligent child. She was educated by private tutors, and she spoke several languages fluently. Alexandra was also a talented musician and artist.
